From the very beginning of the race weekend at Mugello in the heart of beautiful italian Tuscany Susie Stoddart and her Persson team were struggling in finding a good set-up for her TV Spielfilm AMG Mercedes C class. “On this fast and challenging track it is crucial your car is balanced”, the 25 year old explains. “If you fail to find the right set up it is very difficult to hit the limit.”

After a frustrating qualifying Susie had a great start into the 33 lap race under perfect weather conditions. “I got off the line well with no wheel spin and managed to avoid all the collisions by choosing the outside line”, the Mercedes-Benz works driver reported. “I was on P12 after the first lap and very happy with my pace during the first stint. I could follow the group in front and was quicker than the cars behind me. Unfortunately I couldn’t keep up that pace in the second and third stint. We have to analyse that carefully. I lost some positions and ended up 15th. But considering all the problems we had in practice our race performance was quite encouraging. I know my team is good and we already have an idea what the problem might have been. I am sure we will find a solution and improve again for the next race.”

Previewing the upcoming rounds at EuroSpeedway Lausitz and Norisring Susie is quite optimistic: “Both tracks should suit our car better. I had good races there in the past. My time will come.
