Race-car driver Danica Patrick will race the Monster Mile at the Dover International Speedway on consecutive days in September.
On Friday 24th of September she will race in the Sunoco 150 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, a series of developmental races for stock-car drivers about to make the jump to one of the major NASCAR series. The next day, she will race in a 200-mile race at the same track as part of the NASCAR Nationwide Series.
Patrick normally drives IndyCar, in which she is the most successful female driver to date. She also owns an equity share in her team, JR Motorspots.
Although she principally an IndyCar driver, she has been branching out into stock-car racing, such as the two races at Dover International Speedway in September.
She has been driving been linked to a move into Formula One and was supposed to test drive for Honda in 2008.
