Nineteen year old Nevada native, Mackena Bell, made her season debut in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East division at Greenville Pickens Speedway in South Carolina on Saturday evening.
As the only female driver in the K&N Pro Series (East and West coast), Bell was a huge hit during the driver introductions and autograph signing event with approximately 200 fans standing in line for the young ladies signature and photo.
With only one day of practice before the race, Mackena was extremely focused on learning as much as possible and is determined to do well in this series.
Thankful for her teams continued support and hard work, Bell says, “My team [Revolution Racing] is very supportive of my limited experience in these cars. I am confident that with more and more seat time and getting answers to my questions, my results will reflect better qualifying and finishing results in the races to come.”
During qualifying, Bell layed down a great first lap. Trying to better her time on the second lap, she over-drove the car coming into turn 4. Final standings placed her 22 of 32 cars with a 21.693 lap at 82.929 mph.
