The Journey Back To The Race Track.

It has been a while since I have updated you all on what I am doing to get back into the driver’s seat, this year has been mainly spent crewing on my dad’s Pro Mod car, and even though I really enjoy that I still want to race myself. After getting my super gas license i started searching for possibilities on how to get back out on the track, it’s happened quicker than expected but i have been given a great opportunity and hope to test soon to get ready for the 2012 season.

The car I will be driving has previously run 8.7 seconds in the 1/4 mile at around 160mph but i am confident we can improve on that after some testing. Over the last couple of months I have been having a lot of conversations with the owner of the car and two weeks ago I was officially fitted for it. The car has now been baseline set up by my parent’s company Andy Robinson Race Cars (www.robinson-race-cars.com.uk) and we’re almost ready to go.

The plan at the moment is to hopefully do some testing and then possibly compete in a meeting at the end of the year to get ready for next season where we plan to hit the ground running.

A big part of being able to get this far is due of the help I’ve had from two very important sponsors, the first being the Family business Andy Robinson Race Cars. My family have been very supportive and without them I wouldn’t be in the position I’m in. The company has helped me source my safety gear and other parts needed for the car to be race ready but the knowledge they all hold is what I find most valuable, teaching me volumes of information that I will need to know to become a better driver.

The second sponsor is a local dance studio Dance2Fitness (www.dance2fitness.co.uk). Dance2Fitness is based in Andover, UK and specialises in fitness dancing such as Zumba and Fitness Pole Dancing, I’m a customer of theirs myself and can fully recommend they’re classes; it’s a great way to have fun while working out. They’re support has meant i have been able to move my plans forward and I’m excited to be representing them.

In the run up to the new season i am still looking for small sponsors to partner with our team, this is a great opportunity to get involved before we kick start the official launch. For anyone interested in discussing more details please contact me direct on Stefani.Kate@googlemail.com.

For the time being I cannot give any more details of what I will be driving but as soon as I have some testing under my belt I will let everyone know!
