Erika Detota gets support before the championship opener New York, NY, March 28th, 2011: 2010 United States Rally Champion, Erika Detota gets official support for the coming season of racing. Adding to the Keep A Breast Foundation’s resounding message, “I Heart Boobies,” on her Subaru Impreza, there will be some new names of support.

As a grassroots competitor, it is more than fitting for a local auto repair shop, Tony’s Mufflers, in Wallington NJ, to maintain and work on Erika’s race car. Starting with new custom headers, which were “much needed,” Detota said this is just the beginning of the prep help the garage will be doing on the vehicle before the next rally. “I’m so glad to have such a skilled team at Tony’s Mufflers supporting me. They will certainly help me keep my car competitive and ready to race this season,” she said.

And the luck doesn’t end there. While at a Friday night Subaru meet-up, Detota made her next big sponsorship deal. Ruge’s Subaru dealership in Rhinebeck, NY will officially announce on Tuesday, April 3 rd, their full sponsorship intentions with Detota at the dealership’s first showing of the 2013 Limited BRZ model Subaru. Ruge’s has been a part of NY’s Hudson Valley for over 75 years, and a Subaru dealer for over 40. Said owner Lewis Ruge, “We are very proud to support Erika, her proven ability behind the wheel of a Subaru is matched by her determination to make a difference in the community through her efforts in promoting Women’s Health and Wellness. We look forward to helping her succeed, both in and out of the car”.

These exciting additions to her sponsorship list will help Detota achieve a full and successful year of racing as well as spreading awareness about breast cancer prevention and early detection. Next up on Erika’s schedule will be Rally New York, a reformatted tarmac rally in Rock Hill NY, April 20-21, featuring competitive stages in and around the Rock Hill area, as well as at the Monticello Motorclub on that Saturday.
