Tammy Wolf Bio

 

Like so many professional drivers, Tammy Wolf has powerboat racing in her blood. Growing up around the legends of powerboat racing, Mark Rothemal, Spencer Dunn and Oley Berkus she naturally had a drive for the sport.

Tammy started racing powerboats at age 18 and after 15 years of experience, there were no doubts that she is just as fast as any guy who would care to pit against her.

After racing in numerous different classes, In 2005, she progressed to the Formula 3 (SST 60) class and was one of only a few race drivers in the series to become an international competitor by racing in both the Canadian and the United States series. Tammy is the only woman to have ever won the American Powerboat Racing SuperLeague’s Canadian Cup Award.

In 2007, Tammy and the team unveiled a brand new Formula 3, Pugh powerboat with a new look…”The Pink Boat” was born! Thanks to her incredible team and fans, Tammy has succeeded in progressing to the top of her class.

2010 concluded with a win at the Regional Championship in Indiana, a win in Detroit Lakes, MN, she secured a second place finish at the National Championships, a third place finish at the North American Championships. Tammy is the first woman to have received a American Power Boat Association’s United States second place points standings (US 2), as well as, the first woman to receive a second place in the SuperLeagues’ Series Points Standings.

Tammy and the team are part of the Tunnel Vision Racing Team (www.tunnelvisionracing.com) or TVR. TVR is the largest tunnel boat racing team in North America with 4 main drivers and 2 associate drivers. TVR spans 3 classes: Formula 2 (SST 120), Formula 3 (SST 60) and Formula 4 (SST 45).

Tammy is honored to promote the sport of power-boat racing by making public appearances. She and the team are constantly interviewed and signing autographs for fans. Despite her taxing schedule, she always feels privileged
to be a race boat driver and honored for the support of the team, fans and sponsors.

Since 2007, The team has received over 30 top ten finishes, 15 top five finishes, and has been on the podium 8 times. 2010, We won the title of US-2, 2nd place in series points. We received the fastest qualifying lap at the 2009 National Championship!
