Karen Andrews, female racing driver, looks set to have an exciting racing season ahead of her following a very promising performance recently at Mallory Park, Leicestershire.
Karen, Senior Engineering Technician for the multi-disciplinary consultancy group Scott Wilson, has been driving since the age of four and races competitively in her spare time. Mallory Park on the 17th May, in which she headed off the competition, helped Karen raise her profile on the racing circuit, gaining further recognition for her driving ability and attract sponsorship support.
Karen’s second job as a Mazda Specialist Demonstrator for Fusion Events has helped to improve and maintain her driving skills. She spends her weekends travelling all over the UK to test drive new Mazdas and demonstrate to prospective buyers, the car’s driving potential.
Despite not racing competitively since she took part in ITV’s Formula Woman in 2004, Karen has been in regular attendance at track days and has spent the last year fine tuning. With the support of Scott Wilson, Karen is burning to get back on the track in competition.
Karen and the car she races have appeared at the London Motorsport Show main stage last year for a tribute to female racing drivers with Girlracer.co.uk. Karen is attending top motor shows to raise her profile in the world of racing.
Karen is actively seeking sponsorship for the 2008/2009 season and if you would like any more information about this unique form of advertising visit: www.KarenAndrewsRacing.co.uk
