Shea Holbrook The End of One Season and the Beginning of the Next

Orlando, FL – The 2011 Pirelli World Challenge Season wrapped up last weekend at the Road Atlanta Grand Prix. Holbrook unable to attend the championship race still has high spirits and expectations leading into the 2012 season.

“We had a fantastic season. We won the Long Beach Grand Prix in the Touring Car division, and I made history becoming the first woman to win a Pirelli World Challenge Touring Car race and now just the third to ever win a race at Long Beach. Do I wish we were on track competing more often? Of course. Our partnerships grew, we received a large amount of exposure, we’re winning our race in leading the fight against Duchenne muscular dystrophy, and my race craft as a driver has enhanced” Holbrook said.

Holbrook is one of the hardest working drivers in the series. She’s articulate, talented, determined, and will persevere. Though, she has struggled to get her team on track during the 2011 season.

“I love the business and the sport. I’m absolutely addicted. The motorsport industry constantly pushes you to do better, to be better and to think outside of the box. We’re a small but successful team. I’ll continue doing my best to make sure we’re on track for a full 2012 season” said Holbrook.

This year Holbrook also earned the Optima Batteries Best Standing Start Award and the Sunoco Hard Charger Award for improving 14 positions from her 33rd overall spot on the combined class grid at the Long Beach Grand Prix. Shea Racing finished 13th this season in the Touring Car division.

Shea Racing, LLC. is optimistic for the 2012 and will continue pursuing the chase to be the best.
