Geving Improves in Third Trip to Placerville; Aims to Maintain Petaluma All Pro Point Lead This Week

PENNGROVE, CA (5-4-08) - Every time Alissa Geving returns to Placerville Speedway, things get a little bit better for the 16-year-old driver in her sophomore year of racing behind the wheel of the Chick-o-Motorsports, Pit Stop Usa #3x Maxim sprint car.

Saturday, May 3 was a busy day for Geving and her entire team as they departed Penngrove at 7 a.m. and headed for El Dorado County to participate in the first annual Tribute to Al Hinds Sprint Car Show and bbq at Family Chevrolet in Shingle Springs. The area auto dealership is the annual sponsor of the Tribute to Al Hinds race at Placerville Speedway and Geving was one of 16 different drivers they invited to the event that drew some 500 race fans and families who had the opportunity to meet a number of different drivers.

Top Finisher Alissa Geving Petaluma Speedway All Pro Series

PETALUMA, CA (4-5-08) - Following her second consecutive top three finish last weekend, 16-year-old Alissa Geving of Penngrove, California has taken over the early season point lead at her home track of Petaluma Speedway. Geving currently sits in the lead position by a 9-point margin over Matt Sargent.

“Taking over the points lead is probably the best feeling I’ve ever had,” said Geving. “I have never led a points series before and I am ecstatic. Now I need to stop being proud and concentrate on keeping the lead”

Geving places with California’s best in 2008 Silver Cup season opener at Chico

CHICO, CA (3-22-08) – Sixteen year-old Alissa Geving of Penngrove, California began her sophomore season behind the wheel of her family owned Chick-O-Motorsports, Pit Stop USA, A1A Muffler, Auto Repairs Unlimited, Matt Cordiero Enterprises #3 sprint car last weekend in the annual Silver Cup Race of Champions at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico.
With over 60 cars in competition, earning a starting spot in the preliminary A-feature on Friday night was a feat for even the veteran drivers in the field.
