SAVANNAH RICKLI – Joining Series at New Jersey Motorsports Park in May

INDIANAPOLIS (Feb. 9, 2012) – Savannah Rickli (Littleton, Colo.) first got behind the wheel of a vehicle at age 3, running an ice race at a children’s event. Only 18, she has experience in a number of different disciplines, including road racing and hill climbs. In 2010, she became the youngest driver in the 88-year history of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb to finish the event.

With an ever-growing resume, Rickli hopes to enhance that document as she announces her racing plans for the 2012 season. Those plans include racing in the Intercontinental Trophy Cup Racing Series (ITC) presented by GreenTree. Rickli joined ITC officials, drivers and teams at the series’ season-opening event last weekend at Sebring (Fla.) International Raceway, taking a tour of the paddock, asking questions and learning the series’ rules and regulations as she prepares to get behind the wheel of a Porsche Cayman, maybe as soon as the second round of the season in May at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, N.J. Rickli is partially funded for the New Jersey race, and is optimistic about securing full funding.

“There are a lot of appealing things in this series, so I jumped on the opportunity to come to Sebring and meet some of the teams,” Rickli said. “It’s an exciting time.”(...)

MILLVILLE, New Jersey (May 21, 2011) – - Tony Marks Racing (TMR) pilot Maryeve Dufault in the No. 12 VR-12 / Dodge Motorsports Dodge Charger made huge strides Saturday at New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) giving her rookie team confidence heading into tomorrow’s ModSpace 150.

Dufault, the Sorel, Quebec Canada native originally hails from experience that includes road racing so, for the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards Rookie of the Year contender to be a sleeper in her first tango with the track’s 12-turn, 2.3-mile Thunderbolt Raceway isn’t a surprise.

Despite limited practice Saturday after some mechanical setbacks, the female sensation rose to the attention inMenards Pole by Ansell qualifying where she maneuvered the 21^st quickest lap, the fastest of the three female competitors entered for the fifth race of the season.

“It’s a shame that we didn’t get as much practice as we wanted to, but we had to make sure the car was right,” offered Dufault. “As always, the Tony Marks Racing team delivered and fixed the car and we were able to make some laps at the end of the final practice heading into qualifying. The car felt good in qualifying and I think we have a lot more left, we just needed some more laps.”(...)

MOORESVILLE, May 21, 2011: After tackling two Superspeedways and two short tracks thus far in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards season, Milka Duno is ready for something a little more familiar – road course racing. While she is an ARCA Racing Series Rookie, Duno is certainly no stranger to the twists and turns of road course racing and couldn’t be more ready to tackle New JerseyMotorsportsPark’s (NJMP) 2.25-mile track when the ARCA Racing Series starts their engines for the ModSpace 150 on Sunday, May 22.

While Duno will be making her first start at NJMP and has never made a stock car start on a road course, her road racing pedigree speaks for itself. Duno earned the highest finish ever by a female driver when she finished second in the 2007 edition of the legendary 24 Hours of Daytona. She also made history as the first woman to win a major international sportscar race when she drove to victory lane in the Rolex Sports Car Series at Homestead-Miami Speedway. She has a total of three overall wins in the Rolex Series and five wins in the American Le Mans Series – including two class wins in the famous Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta – the first woman in history to achieve this feat.(...)

Speedway and Toledo Speedway respectively, Maryeve Dufault is anxiously awaiting for the green flag to drop in Sunday’s ModSpace 150 at New Jersey Motorsports Park.

On top of the two short tracks and two superspeedways of Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway and Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway, Dufault will return to her racing roots this weekend as the ARCA Racing Series invades their lone road course event of the season.
