Becky Bateman from Lismore again on her SMRR450 Husqvarna showed the Super Moto fans what a class act she is at the Moto Mayhem held at Oran Park on Sunday 24th February 2008. Despite not having been on a bike, since last December. Becky blitzed the field and won all three Women’s Super Moto events as well as the main feature race. In addition, Becky set a new women’s class lap record of 1:05.9530, and then followed it up with a personal best of 1:03.8390 during the feature race.
Becky ran strongly throughout the day to finish first overall in the Women’s class for the day.
Beck’s comments on the day were: “The last race really got to me physically. Not having been on a race bike since December 2007, and I will admit that over the Christmas period the training suffered in favour of good old fashioned Christmas tucker, boy, did I know all about it in that last race. I started to fall back through sheer exhaustion, but when I saw that one of the other women was catching up to me, I put my head down and went for it.”
Overall a great debut for me and Husqvarna for the2008 Season.
