
Canyon Lake, Calif., May 23, 2008 – 15-year-old Sara Price is preparing for of the upcoming season and racing the top Amateur Nationals including this weekends Loretta Lynn’s Northwest Regional Qualifier at Honey Lake Motocross Park, Milford, CA.
The # 78 Kawasaki Team Green Rider has already made a mark this year in women’s amateur racing by winning the first three amateur Nationals – Lake Whitney MX, Oak Hill MX, and the World Mini’s. Price is hoping to keep her streak alive by qualifying at Honey Lake and then winning the upcoming WMA Amateur events at The Hangtown Classic, in Sacramento, CA, May 30th and The Freestone County Raceway event, Wortham, TX, June 5th. From there the Sara will contest the Grand National Motocross in Ponca City, OK, July 20th -26th. Following Ponca City, Price goes after her most esteemed and challenging goal of winning the AMA Loretta Lynn’s Amateur National Championship, Hurricane Mills, TN, July 28th – August 2nd.
“I feel really fortunate to be able to do something I really love,” said Price “The competition in women’s racing just gets stronger and stronger and I really have my work cut out for me. I am going to just try to ride my best at each event”.
