Trillium Muir is from Canada’s famous nickel mining city Sudbury in Northern Ontario hence her team’s name “Nickel City Racing”, shared by her partner also a talented record holder, Jody Leveille. Trillium proudly wears the title of World’s Fastest Woman on an open wheeled motorcycle and this achieved with only 3 years of motorcycle riding experience. She is the first woman over 200 MPH on a Motorcycle.

This title she captured during the last ECTA (East Coast Timing Association/USA) meet in May 2007 at the speed of 218 MPH. On top of breaking the record, she is the first woman to gain induction into a recognized LSR (Land Speed Record) 200 MPH club anywhere in the world on an open wheeled motorcycle.

Prior to taking her new title Trillium had to qualify and did so by running 207+ gaining her entry into the prestigious ECTA’s 200 MPH Club. Her partner in Nickel City Racing, Jody Leveille, ran 220+ MPH, also unfaired, to make his the fastest unfaired bike ever to run at Maxton.

In short here the achievements Trillium has earned:

  • First woman over 200mph on a motorcycle at Maxton 204mph Sept 2006
  • First woman over 210mph at Maxton 210mph March 2007
  • Fastest woman in the world on a motorcycle 218mph March 2007
  • First woman ever to enter a 200mph Club on a motorcycle 207mph April 2007–bumped up to 222mph September 2007
  • Only woman in the 200mph “naked” club
  • 207mph April 2007 Top speed 222 mph, 207mph unfaired.

We’ll be looking for Trillium this year at Bonneville speed week and other meets as she continues to strive for more brearking record titles to add to her name.
