Well I suppose I should introduce myself. Hi everyone!! Im Jamie Horner and I’ve been racing since I was a little girl. 8 years old and in a gokart, and loving it. I’ve been racing ever since. Now that I’m 22 and in a ProLate Model it’s all a little surreal to me. Racing is in my blood and there is no shaking it now. Nor would I ever want to! My father got me into racing as a child. I was at the track before I could walk. Its been that way always. I would tag along and was even given a crew chief title at 5 . It was only natural that I would follow in his footsteps, and get behind the wheel.
I’ve been fortunate enough in my 15 years of racing to have run Go Kartrs, A thunder Car/ SuperStock, Limited Late Model, Late Model, and Pro Late model. I will be running a Pro Late model at Kawartha Speedway in the 2012 season. I am trying to get back onto the scene again after overcoming a wreck at sunset speedway that left me needing physiotherapy on my right shoulder that prematurely ended my 2010 season. This subsequently rolled over into my 2011 season as well, having only been able to run two times during that year…..
Where I stand right now I’m trying to pick up speed (no pun intended) in my career by gaining more sponsorship so that my team can afford up to date equipment, and running costs. Oh I forgot to mention that I am also a University of Waterloo Undergraduate Student in my last year. Plus im working full time to get through to my masters degree in Anthropology. I guess one could say that I am a little busy. Scratch that I’m always busy. However, all the hardwork seems to pay off in the end. Sponsorship would go along way with the Horner Racing team in 2012. I cant wait to keep updating with news from the crew and the garage.
Ciao For Now!!
Ill be writing again next Monday
