Welcome to our newest blogger BETH CHRYST!
Hello! My name is Beth Chryst and I am from Herndon, VA (right outside Washington, DC). I am the definition of an all American girl with a bit of tomboy. Getting dirty but getting a pedicure are the two sides of my coin! I am 25 years old and have been kart racing for 11 years, steadily moving up from Briggs and Stratton classes to the most prestigious class – 125cc shifter. Before racing, my life consisted of fast pitch softball – as much as I could possibly handle. This year I joined a church league softball team and every Monday night I take the field and leave it on the field! A daddy’s girl is the best way you could describe me, I spend countless hours working on the race car with him and getting my hands dirty turning wrenches. My family and friends are my backbone and really truly are my number 1 fans. My mother is the proudest of them all and is the best chef I could ever ask for at the race track. Being outside at any race track is something I really enjoy doing whenever I have free time. I have two mini dachshunds that keep my daily life entertaining. In 2011 I have given up everything I had to chase my dream of becoming a race car driver. I am currently running in SCCA Pro Racing MX-5 Cup and I am really enjoying it so far. There is so much ahead of me and I hope I get the opportunity to show the world what I have.
Some of my accolades include:
2 World Karting Championships at Daytona International Speedway
1 National Championship – 125cc shifter – World Karting Association
5 Regional Championships- Dart Kart Club, Big South Road Racing Series, and Woodbridge Kart Club
