Aiken, SC – Grace Howell and the Cunningham Motorsports Team are ready to take that next step and start going rounds at this weekends 43rd Annual Tire Kingdom NHRA Gatornationals presented by NAPAFilters.com

Two races into the season and the Cunningham Motorsports Team is 1-1 at getting in and 0-1 in rounds raced. They were 17th in Phoenix just missing the field. The team came back to the shop in Maryland to freshen up the engines and head back out for additional testing.

“It’s been a great start for us this season. I was very excited to get in at Pomona and we were so close in Phoenix.” said Grace. “We’ve been in Florida this week testing more and our Mustang is running very consistent. We are extremely confident going into this weekend’s GATORS!!”

This weekend will prove to be a serious challenge as 26 cars are currently entered in the event. Owner Jim Cunningham is also confident in the team’s efforts and knows this weekend will be that chance to showcase the team’s progress. “We’ve put in a lot of time and money and made some big changes. We’ve made some big strides from last season and are becoming consistent enough to be in week in and week out. Once we take that step, we can start going rounds”. stated Cunningham.
