Saturday was not overly successful. I started 2nd on the grid. I got a great start, got into first place and lead the race for a few laps. I was overtaken and then squeezed onto the less grippy surface and span off. This incident dropped me into 14th place. However, I managed to get back up into 9th place but ran out of laps.
On Sunday I started 2nd again. I got another good start and stayed in 2nd for a couple of laps until I was passed down the Pit Straight. The safety car came out because of and accident behind. At the green flag i was passed just before Padock Hill but he collided with the driver in 2nd. A few laps later someone tried to pass me on the outside of Padock Hill Bend. He span in front of me which then slowed me down and I fell back to third. The safety car again came out. After 3 laps behind the safety car it pulled in and the race was underway again.
However I couldn’t get pass the driver in second so I stuck with 3rd. Overall I am pleased with the weekend and my team (Tockwith Motorsport) produced at great car! Hopefully I can finish higher at the next round at Cadwell Park next week!
